Announcements - Please Read
HATS Counseling, LLC is moving! We will be closing our Columbia location. Deanna will stop seeing individual clients at the Columbia location as of MARCH 28, 2024, and the office will close permanently as of May 2024. This practice is moving to a community education model for mental health. Call to request a small group presentation.
Due to a cyber security incident impacting the U.S. health care payment system beginning February 21, 2024, and ongoing, and which has impacted software used by HATS Counseling, LLC, there may be delays in processing insurance claims, phone services, or other electronic issues. Please let me know if you are experiencing, or have experienced, any of these issues; or are having concerns. If you have not heard of this incident, it is highly encouraged for you to do your own research on the ransom of data which has been reported to have happened and take steps to secure all personal information accordingly.

My training & experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care for a number of mental health needs including anxiety & depression; specialty in substance use and trauma focused (EMDR and IFS). The private practice is closing and going into a more public education model due to the complexities of our societal concerns. Call if you are interested in more information.

My focus is to help individuals & families explore, heal, and sustain functional lives & relationships. We achieve this by listening to your concerns and recognizing the multitudes -visible and invisible- of factors which present themselves in these sometimes-difficult discussions. However, in 2024, that model is changing to a community education model. Call if interested in more information.

I tip my hats to anyone who reaches out for help. We are on sacred ground as you share your story; maybe for the first time. Neurological changes & somatic expression of symptoms are normal reactions to abnormal situations... and can be improved with your willing participation and active work to understand your own faculties. When these impact your ability to participate at a societal level, it can be isolating, intimidating, and often damaging to your community which benefits from your participation.
